Crouched down in warm wind,
I felt ocean mist trying to put out my fire like sins.
I used my fingers,
Because the rocks were to hot-
And the woods nearby looked suspiciously alive.
I watched my toes wiggle into a wet spot,
And grimaced at my cold thoughts.
Our love was a ripped map,
Missing the center.
We were lost.
An ugly 'X' marked our ending destination,
Dripping coffee stains made a trail of lies and deceit.
A foreign vanilla perfume wafted off your favorite suit's sleeves-
I bought it on our honey moon.
I guessed you bought her there too.
Inhaling the salty wind-
And wondering to no end.
I wrote your name in the sand,
And threw your grandmother's ring into the angry ocean.

Childhood Memories
Time became lost,
As i relived the memories flashing through my mind.
Wanting to explode from my mouth,
Poisonous words clawing up my throat, choking me.
The words i had practiced over and over again in front of the same mirror for years
It was dragged back down my throat,
Dissolving into the acid of my belly,
Never to be heard,
But by the ears of my screeching mind.
They could tell that they had gone over the line.
A simple question had been asked,
Then silence clung to the awkward room.
She realized her mistake
Concerned when signs of anguish showed in the flash of eyes
Quickly looking away,
My jaws clenching.
"So, tell us all about

Where Have You Gone?
Where have you gone, lover of mine?
Where have you been, this unending time?
Have you gone on a train, to a place far away,
Where the mountains sing and the sycamores sway?
Have you taken a boat to an island alone,
Where you sit and you think as you toss a cool stone?
Have you leaped on a plane to see new skies,
Where you watch shining stars with tired, worn eyes?
Have you just walked along roads with rotting old signs,
Where the locals count up your hard liquor fines?
Have you met someone new, sweet, and bright,
Who listens to your stories until late at night?
Have you made a friend that lends a hand,
Who will be by your side in the dirt a

Angstxiety
I am work weak on Wednesday
in a heap of hangover and hesitation
with fingers on a phone haptically
actively anticipating feedback—
I need that why do I need that.
My angst and anxiety
is constant and courses
and throbs with a pulse
that demands concern
of a baby boomer crooning poetic
in the distance to call me antisocial, or you know,
you could just call me.
If being this busy in an age
of constant communication
feels like having slept
but not feeling rested,
I'd rather cancel my plans
like a responsible millennial
and go to bed.
