Literature Text

Crouched down in warm wind,
I felt ocean mist trying to put out my fire like sins.

I used my fingers,
Because the rocks were to hot-
And the woods nearby looked suspiciously alive.

I watched my toes wiggle into a wet spot,
And grimaced at my cold thoughts.

Our love was a ripped map,
Missing the center.

We were lost.

An ugly 'X' marked our ending destination,
Dripping coffee stains made a trail of lies and deceit.

A foreign vanilla perfume wafted off your favorite suit's sleeves-
I bought it on our honey moon.

I guessed you bought her there too.

Inhaling the salty wind-
And wondering to no end.

I wrote your name in the sand,
And threw your grandmother's ring into the angry ocean.
Not sure about the title...Hope you like:heart:
